Doctors
Kelly Larson-Brunner, D.C.Hello, my name is Kelly Larson-Brunner, D.C. but around the office I am referred to as Dr. Kelly. I am originally from Maine, growing up in Dover-Foxcroft, and have lived in various other states, but I am very excited to raise my family in the Westbrook area. I have always had an interest in biology and health and took those extra courses at Foxcroft Academy. I was very active in high school with sports such as field hockey and track, and extracurricular activities such as Jazz Band, Key Club, and National Honors Society. After graduating as Valedictorian, I continued my studies at Springfield College, MA, and graduated with a BS degree in Sports Biology. At that time I did not know what I wanted to do with my degree. I never knew I wanted to be a chiropractor until a job-shadowing experience 2 years after graduating from Springfield College. I had always known that I wanted to have a career in the healthcare field, but for the longest time, I did not know where that passion would take me. The day I watched another chiropractor adjust a four year old girl, and I saw the energy return into that young face, was the day I knew which path I was to follow. Chiropractic removes the nerve interference within our bodies so that we can be healthy and function to the best of our ability. That simple concept is so powerful and so amazing that I knew I had to become part of it. I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City for 3 intense years of study. I was active in the community through the organization Beta Chi Rho and helped new students by participating in the Mentor Club. In addition to the regular courses, I took additional classes specifically for Pediatric Chiropractic. I truly believe that chiropractic care needs to begin at an early age in order to reduce the spinal stress that is seen in adults. The adjustments for infants and children are extremely gentle and the results are relatively more immediate than adults. I feel very honored when a parent hands me their child and asks me to check him/her for possible spinal misalignments. As much as I love being in my office, I also love being in the community. I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Westbrook, the advisor for the Key Club at Westbrook High School, and am part of the Chamber of Commerce. I am always willing to give presentations to any business or group because I enjoy educating others about their health and wellness. I am married to a wonderful man, Matthew, and I have two beautiful children, Aria and Dominic. Don’t be surprised to see us around town, at sporting events, or at fundraising events as we love to support Westbrook activities. And if you do see us, please say hi. Warren M. Lain, D.C.Warren M. Lain, D.C. was born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma. Always a top student in his youth, he spent his free time running track and playing soccer and basketball. In the late 80s, Warren's family moved to Gunnison, where they'd previously enjoyed many beautiful summer and winter vacations in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Warren's avid love for whitewater rafting led him to serve as a guide on the Arkansas and Taylor rivers while attending Western State College of Colorado. Here, Warren learned the invaluable life resources of communication with and education of his clients. Graduating with honors, he accomplished a B.A. in Biology, with a professional and environmental emphasis, and a minor in Chemistry. During his educational tenure at WSC, Warren distinguished himself as the recipient of a special administrative scholarship, three years in a row, earning him coordination responsibilities of all undergraduate teaching assistants for the Biological Principles Department. In this capacity, Warren began to grasp the importance of human interactions and the benefit one gains by helping others. After meeting his fiancé, Melissa, Warren went on to Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City. He received Dean's List honors each term and graduated Cum Laude - in the minimum allotted time. In the past, Warren served his surrounding community in leadership positions from Student Council Vice President and Class President to President of Beta Beta Beta, a science service and community fraternal organization. Currently, he is working toward achieving his Diplomat in Applied Kinesiology, as well as pursuing a future Diplomat in Orthopedics, which he firmly believes to be the best way to properly diagnose and treat his patients. |
